Our detector development lab is finally open for business! In the process of completing the renovation, we have completed the construction of a muon entrance detector and had it shipped to PSI for a test beam in November. Kudos to the team members for helping out.

Our group has contributed several poster presentations to the Fall Meeting of the Chinese Physical Society 2022. Meng was awarded the best poster in particle physics for his work on the J-PARC muon polarization monitor (Meng, Xintong, Fangyuan, and Siyuan). Congratulations to the team! Physics of fundamental Symmetries and Interactions – PSI2022
Tianqi and Jun Kai represented our group at the PSI 2022 conference presenting 3 posters on muon physics experiments (Muon g-2 and muEDM). It is one of the first onsite conference presentations that our group gave over the last two years! It’s good to be able to meet fellow physicists face to face!
SJTU-KEK Muon Physics Exchange Workshop 2022
Our group co-organized the SJTU-KEK Muon Physics Exchange Workshop 2022, together with Prof. Liang Li from SPA and Prof. Tsutomu Mibe from KEK/Univ. of Tokyo. The workshop was very successful and we enjoyed a lot sharing progress from both sides on various muon physics experiments. The 8th High Energy Density Physics Young Scientists Forum
Cheng represented our group in the 8th HEDP Young Scientists Forum for a poster presentation on the Shanghai Muon Source. He won the best poster award that was given to the best 8 posters. Congratulations!

Our group presented multiple posters at the CPS High Energy Physics Division Meeting 2022. During to the COVID restrictions, the posters were presented online and each speaker was given 3 minutes to present their work.
NuFact 2022: The 23rd International Workshop on Neutrinos from Accelerators
Kim Siang participated in the NuFact 2022 workshop and presented on behalf of the muEDM collaboration on the topic “Search for the muon electric dipole moment at PSI”. Zhiyuan Scholar Research Program
An R&D project led by Meng Lv (吕濛), Xintong Cai (蔡欣桐), and Fangyuan Yu (俞方远) on the Muon Polarization Monitor for J-PARC Muon g-2/EDM experiment was being approved recently by the Zhiyuan College at SJTU. The project will last for 1.5 years and comes with its own funding for the students. A big congratulations!
Joint Meeting 2021 of Shanghai Particle and Nuclear Physics Community
Kim-Siang presented on behalf of the SJTU Muon Physics Group at the 粒子物理与核物理上海研讨会2021. It is a good start to 2022 to be able to meet so many experts in Particle and Nuclear Physics in a nice conference venue.
