About me

I work at TDLI as a T. D. Lee Fellow/Associate Professor. I received my PhD from the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Tokyo Institute of Technology. During the PhD course, I was selected as a Research Fellow of JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science). For postdoctoral training, I joined the Department of Physics at Nagoya University as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow. Then I moved to Observatoire de la Cote d’Azur as a JSPS Research Fellow for Research Abroad. After that, I was selected as an NAOJ Fellow at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. I then worked as a Research Scientist at the Earth-Life Science Institute of Tokyo Institute of Technology. I have been working at TDLI since 2022.

My specialty is planet formation theory. In particular, I perform computer simulations with N-body codes. Recently, I have been working on combining N-body simulations with simulations of disk evolution and simulations of atmospheric evolution. By doing so, I am working to elucidate the formation of planets in our solar system and exoplanet systems. I am also involved in exoplanet observations.

My group is looking for postdocs and students to work on planet formation theory. My group also collaborates with the exoplanet observing group led by Fabo Feng and the exoplanet atmosphere group led by Xianyu Tan.
