Tailin Zhu<\/strong> is a Tsung-Dao Lee Postdoctoral Fellow at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, having joined the TRIDENT collaboration in October 2024. She earned her Ph.D. from Imperial College London, where her thesis “Measurement of Neutrino Oscillation Parameters at T2K Using Novel Neutral Current Pion Samples and Projected Sensitivities for Hyper-Kamiokande”<\/em> advanced experimental neutrino physics. At TRIDENT, Dr. Zhu leads the design and construction of the Phase-I calibration string system. Her work was recognized through the Shanghai Postdoctoral Overseas Fellowship.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Graduate Students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hengbin Shao is a second-year Ph.D. candidate at the TDLI of SJTU, specializing in hDOM simulations. He began his research career as an undergraduate at SJTU, where his thesis “Characterization of Photomultipliers for TRIDENT Experiments” laid the foundation for his current role — leading the large-scale PMT testing program. Hengbin\u2018s favorite game is “Honkai: Star rail”.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Yingwei Wang <\/strong>is a second-year Ph.D. student at the TDLI of SJTU. As a member of TRIDET, she lead the development of an updated camera system for in-situ calibration of water optical properties in 2024. Currently, Yingwei is analyzing data from the recent sea trials while maintaining a strong research focus on dark matter detection. Her fav singer is David Bowie, and her fav actress is Giulietta Masina\u3002<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Haoyan Zhang<\/strong> is a Ph.D. student at TDLI of SJTU working in the TRIDENT collaboration. He conducted optical calibration for the neutrino telescope, and constructed an LEM DOM from ground up. Currently he is analyzing sea-trail data. Haoyan is interested in neutrino physics and the full scope of TRIDENT’s scientific goals, actively pushing the project forward.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Shasha Liu<\/strong> is a Ph.D. student at the TDLI of SJTU and an active member in the TRIDENT collaboration. Her work on the “Radioactive Background of the TRIDENT Glass Sphere Module” established baseline measurements for the DOM’s background. Currently, she focuses on hDOM simulation and calibration DOM for bioluminescence monitoring.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Yaowei Guo<\/strong>, is an undergraduate student from Imperial College of London, UK. Currently Yaowei is working as a Summer intern at TDLI. His project focus on “impact of various noise on neutrino reconstruction”. Yaowei likes playing ping-pong.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
