Prof. Anyuan Gao is a Tsung-Dao Lee fellow of the Condensed Matter Division at TDLI, and an Associate Professor of the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2024. Research in Gao Lab is interested in understanding the electronic and optical properties of 2D quantum devices. Anyuan obtained his PhD from Nanjing University in 2019. Under the supervision of Prof. Feng Miao and Prof. Baigen Wang, he focused on the experimental investigation of higher-performance mid-IR photodetectors. Following his PhD, he worked as a postdoc with Prof. Su-Yang Xu at Harvard University, where he explored novel quantum phenomena in 2D topological antiferromagnets.
