Welcome to Anyuan Gao’s two-dimensional electronic and optoelectronic experimental research group at the Tsuing-Dao Lee Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. We aim to search, discover, and understand new topological and quantum geometrical physics beyond the current paradigm and harness the quantum geometrical properties for quantum technologies. We are particularly interested in understanding the electronic and optical properties of 2D quantum devices by optimizing device structure (heterostructure, twisting, structuring, etc.), electrical transport, and photocurrent measurements.

Recently we have become more interested in the following areas:
1. Emergent quantum transport phenomena in 2D topological antiferromagnets
2. Strong light-matter interaction of 2D artificial structures
3. Novel electronic and optical applications of 2D artificial devices
